JONESVILLE — Services for Claudia Lee Zimmerman Ford, 85, of Lismore, La., who died Monday, March 9, 2015, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesville with the Rev. Russell Crum officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ford Family Cemetery in Monterey under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ford was born Aug. 11, 1929, in Franklin County, the daughter of Henry Zimmerman and Essie Lee Harrigill Zimmerman.

She was a horticulture enthusiast and a member of the Cenla Daylily Society, the Delta Daylily Society, Baton Rouge Daylily Society and American Daylily Society.

She was also a national exhibition judge and instructor, an exhibition liaison judge for region 13, Arkansas and Louisiana, and a member of Franklin Peacemaker Quilt Club of Winnsboro.

Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her husband, S.L. Ford Sr.; her parents; one son, Stephen Lee Ford Jr.; one brother, Carl Henry Zimmerman; and one sister, Leslie May Benson.

Survivors include two sons, Pete Ford and wife, Judy, of Wetumpka, Ala., and Buster Ford and wife, Faye, of Lismore; one daughter, Lydia Massa and husband, Doug, of Breaux Bridge, La.; seven grandchildren, Tracy Ford, Marcy Moreland, “Little Pete” Ford Jr., Shelly Smith, Leanna Ford, Michael Ebersole and Leah Massa; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Benson of Frogmore, La.

Pallbearers will be Derek Moreland, Connor Moreland, Michael Ebersole, Doug Messa, Little Pete Ford, Tal Taliaferro and Jacob Smith.
