Natchez — The Pilgrimage Garden Club will begin the 2010-2011 club year with its first meeting, Thursday, Sept. 16 at the Carriage House Restaurant.

The meeting will begin with cocktails available for purchase at 6 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. in the Carriage House dining room.

The program will feature local author, Don Estes, former curator of the Natchez City Cemetery. Estes will present a slide show presentation on the legends of the old cemetery that are included in his book.

Estes will be on hand after the meeting with book copies available for sale and autograph.

Tickets for dinner are $20, and members are encouraged to bring guests.
