She graduated from Natchez Adams High School in 1965 where she was a Sergeant with the Rebelettes, was voted “Cutest” of her Senior class, and was known as “The girl with the happy smile.”

Everywhere that Ferrell and Tommy went, they were known to be the life of the party as they danced the night away in each other’s arms.

In that capacity, she served as the first and only First Lady of the National Sheriff’s Association from Mississippi.

Ferrell loved life and people and will be remembered for her personality and infections laughter. She enjoyed receiving and acting as a tour guide and as a member of the Pilgrimage Garden Club, she worked tirelessly to make the Tableaux a success for many years.

Ferrell served as a member of the Board of Longwood and she was a member of the Natchez Newcomer’s Club. After many dedicated hours of research, Ferrell also became a member of the National Society of the Daugther’s of the American Revolution.

Ferrell would not have been able to live out her last days surrounded by love in her home.
