FERRIDAY — Memorial services for Christopher Damien Lee Short, 19, of Waterproof, La., who died Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, in St. Joseph, La., will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Smith officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Short was born Feb. 13, 1996, in Natchez, the son of Jason Lee Short and Charlene Guin.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rita Trahan.

Survivors include his father; his mother of Waterproof; paternal grandfather, Harold Short and wife, Sonjia, of Elberfeld, Ind.; paternal grandmother, Margie Ellard of Monterey; maternal grandfather, Earl R. Guin of Waterproof; his fiancée, Cheyenne Garner of Waterproof; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
