WINNFIELD, La. — Graveside services for Ruby Zell Taylor Chandler, 71, a retail department manager of Winnfield, La., will at 4 p.m. Sunday at Corinth Baptist Church in Winnfield with the Rev. Chris Chandler officiating.

Burial will follow at the Corinth Tabernacle Cemetery in Winnfield under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mrs. Chandler was born Aug. 8, 1943, the daughter of Johnny Morris and Dolly Deaton Taylor.

Mrs. Chandler was employed by Walmart Store in Winnfield for more than 20 years. She was a very giving person and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. She will surely be missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Chandler was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin Marshall Chandler; and three brothers, Bobby Taylor, Morris Taylor and Harold Taylor.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Ann Scarborough and husband, John, of Pasadena, Texas; one son, Steven B. Chandler and wife, Lisa, of Acme, La.; four grandchildren, Burt Roberts and wife, Nickki, and Zach Scarborough, all of Pasadena, Gina Chandler of Ruston, La., and Auston Chandler of Acme; one great-grandchild, Alec Roberts; two brothers, Johnny “Junior” Morris and wife, Gail, of Newburn, N.C., and Charles Wright; and one sister, Alice Taylor Willis and husband, John David, of Evadale, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Burt Roberts, Zach Scarborough, Jasin Chandler, Auston Chandler, Thomas Eady and Cory Brewer.
