NATCHEZ — Services for Doris “Jerry” Lewis, 94, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Campbell officiating.
Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lewis was born Aug. 3, 1920, in Jennings, La., the daughter of Donald Carl Barker and Clara Frances Pulver Barker.
She was a homemaker and a retired hostess at a number of local restaurants.
Mrs. Lewis loved to knit. She knitted all of her family’s Christmas stockings including her great-grandchildren’s.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William S. Lewis; one grandchild, Tammy Darlene Lewis; and three brothers.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Holloway of Natchez; one son, William Lewis of Natchez; six grandchildren, David Lewis, Chris Lewis, Justin Bruce, Jessica Joy Brady, Sara Joy Dobb and Kirstle Bruce Jacome; nine great-grandchildren, Carla Bruce, Gavin Bruce, Noah Brady, Charity Brady, Benjamin Brady, Anya Brady, Brittany Lewis, Blake Lewis and Cameron Lewis.
Pallbearers will be Justin Bruce, David Lewis, Gavin Bruce, Steve Dobb, Adam Brady and Aaron Brown.
