NATCHEZ — A celebration of life for Stacy Daigre Strong, who died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, in Cleveland, Tenn., after a brief illness, will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at 23 Meadowbrook Drive, in Natchez.
Stacy was the daughter of Benny Daigre and Jo Ann Stacy Koonce.
She was a 1975 graduate of South Natchez High School where she was involved in a number of activities. She was an active member of the debate team, a sergeant in the Colonel Ladies, a member of the Young Republicans and participated in a number of the school’s musical productions.
Mrs. Strong was a successful businesswoman in medical sales. After moving home, she opened Supper Thyme, a catering company that featured a number of her outstanding dishes. While living in Natchez, she was active in the Republican party and volunteered for agencies such as the Sunshine Shelter for Abused Children.
She leaves behind a number of friends in the Miss-Lou and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Strong was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Mrs. Roland Stacy.
Survivors include one son, Cole Strong and wife, Ashley; one daughter, Carrie Welborn and husband, Noah; two brothers, Darrell Daigre and wife, Lisa, and Alan Daigre and wife, Cindy; and six grandchildren who she adored, Jeremiah, Lucas, Olivia and Nora Strong and Abigail and Kinsley Welborn.
