NATCHEZ — Services for Harry Maxwell Breithaupt, 97, of Natchez, who died Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mr. Breithaupt was born Dec. 16, 1917, in Natchez.
He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. He was also a member of St. Mary Basilica and the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Breithaupt was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carlotta Breithaupt; and one son, John Maxwell Breithaupt Sr.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Jennifer Archer, John Maxwell Breithaupt Jr., and Theresa Johnson; five great-grandchildren, Pvt. 2nd Class William Davis, Sarah Breithaupt, Will Johnson, Katie Johnson and Ransom Lee Archer.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
