ROXIE — Graveside services for Jimmie Ruth Garner, 82, of Roxie, who died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Roxie City Cemetery with the Rev. Van Windom, the Rev. Tyson Windom and the Rev. Jamie Wallace officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Garner was born June 8, 1932, in Roxie, the daughter of Willie and Hazel Whitehead Mullins.

She was a member of the Roxie Baptist Church.

Mrs. Garner worked for 37 years as the post master of the Roxie post office. She enjoyed fishing with her husband and going to eat with her son. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dale Garner; and two brothers, Sonny Boy Mullins and Charles Mullins.

Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Garner Matthews of Roxie; two sons, Willie Garner and Len Garner and wife, Janet, all of Roxie; one sister, Juanita Mullins of Roxie; one brother, John Mullins and wife, Janice, of Roxie; one sister-in-law, Earlyn Mullins of Roxie; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
