FERRIDAY — Services for Patsy Imogene Robin, 74, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at Rapides General Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Pentecostals of Miss-Lou in Ferriday with the Rev. Gary Howington officiating.
Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Robin was born Aug. 21, 1940, in Saline, La., the daughter of Willie Leman Walsworth and Althea Vera Cook Walsworth.
She was a member of the Pentecostals of the Miss-Lou. She served God and people with all of her heart, never meeting a stranger.
Mrs. Robin was the owner and operator of Robin’s Cafe established in 1983, later known as Imogene’s Restaurant of Ferriday. She devoted her life, heart and soul to cooking and feeding the community.
Mrs. Robin was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bobby Walsworth.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Sylvan Robin; one son, Thomas “Tommy” Loftin of LaRose, La.; one daughter, Sonia Lynn Ladner of Vidalia; one stepdaughter, Tiffany Hughes and husband, Jeff, of Winnsboro, La.; two brothers, James Edward Walsworth and wife, Jean, of Natchez and Kenneth Walsworth and wife, Ann, of Natchez; one sister, Irene Manchester and husband, Don, of Vidalia; five granddaughters, Nikki Gillespie, Tommie Jean Loftin, Calli Ann Loftin, Traci Ladner and Brittney Hughes; three grandsons, Sylvan Loftin, Trae Ladner and Slade Hughes; and five great-grandchildren, Sean Loftin, Emma Loftin, Phoenix and Eliana Gillespie and Tinley Faye Loftin.
Pallbearers will be Sylvan Loftin, Trae Ladner, Jamie Walsworth, Jeremy Walsworth, Shane Walsworth and Brandon Walsworth.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Gillespie, Derek Welch, Ray Ladner, Donnie Manchester and Von Manchester.
