VIDALIA — A 13-year-old Vidalia Junior High student missing since approximately 3:45 p.m. Thursday was found safe and sound at approximately 6 p.m. Friday walking through Ferriday.
According to reports from the Vidalia Police Department, the teen ran away, and was not abducted.
She was seen at VJHS after school but was not seen getting off of the school bus Thursday.
After more than 24 hours of looking, the VPD recieved a call from an area resident who spotted the girl walking through Ferriday, and then called the police.
Since the teen was outside of Vidalia city limits, Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies drove to Ferriday to pick her up.
She is currently reunited with her parents and family.
