NATCHEZ — A staple in the Natchez business community, Premo Stallone Inc., will close its doors today — ending an 87-year, family-owned operation.
The St. Catherine Street service company specializing in electrical, plumbing, heating and roofing work was started by Premo Stallone, after the Natchez resident received the city’s first plumbing license in 1929.
The company started with roofing and plumbing, and later added an electrical department and eventually heating and air services.
Current co-owner, Cynthia Dollar, Stallone’s granddaughter, declined to discuss specifics on the store’s closure, but said the situation was “bittersweet.”
