Ferriday police seek original recipe burglar

FERRIDAY — Warrants have been issued for the arrest of a man allegedly responsible for burglarizing Kentucky Fried Chicken in Ferriday.

Cornelius Kelly, 25, originally of New Roads, is wanted for the crime, and was reported as taking cash from KFC.

Kelly was allegedly identified in a surveillance video by an employee of KFC, and Ferriday police officers Clarence Hall and Eddie Martin.

Kelly reportedly previously burglarized the same KFC in 2008.

Ferriday officers gave chase to Kelly on foot Sunday, but he escaped into a wooded area near Louisiana 15.
