NATCHEZ — Carolyn S. Heard and Christopher B. Maxwell have been named  to new positions at United Mississippi Bank.

Heard was named senior vice president in the compliance department.

Heard received a bachelor of business administration from Millsaps College and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.  She is a certified community bank internal auditor.

She has previously served as vice president of audit and compliance, assistant vice resident to the internal auditor and as a branch manager.

Heard is married to Walter W. Heard III and is a member of St. Mary Basilica.

Maxwell was named senior vice president in the information technology department.

He is a graduate of South Natchez High School and received his bachelor of arts from Louisiana Tech University, and is certified in risk and information system controls.

Maxwell previously served as vice president in the information technology department.

He is married to the former Emily Plauche of Natchez, and they are the parents of two daughters, Parker Claire and Anne Bailey Maxwell The Maxwells are active members of St. Mary Basilica. He is a past president of Krewe of Phoenix and a past president of Natchez Little Theatre. He is a member of the Santa Claus Committee.  In his spare time, he enjoys golf, following LSU sports, and music.
