FERRIDAY — Ferriday native Marcus Kennedy has been named new car sales manager at Performance Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram

“We’re fortunate to have someone like Marcus to come back into the community,” General Manager Tim Jackson said. “His honesty and integrity are just top notch, and we’re glad to have him here with us.”

A 1995 Ferriday High graduate, Kennedy received his undergraduate degree at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches in 2000.

He taught and coached in Catahoula and Concordia parishes for two years before joining Natchez Ford in a sales position. He

sold more than 40 cars in his first three months and was named salesman of the month six times in two years. He also worked in inventory, accounting and finance before becoming the dealership’s first Internet sales manager.

He also worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, managing a fleet of more than 1,000 cars in Arkansas.

Kennedy moved back to Louisiana in 2013 and sold auto finance products for Chase Auto Finance before joining Performance Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Ram.
