NATCHEZ — Services for Willie Lee Whitley, 73, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at True Church of Jesus Christ.
Burial will follow at the Providence Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 5:45 p.m. today at the funeral home with a celebration of life wake service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Mr. Whitley was born Sept. 18, 1941, in Adams County, the son of Canary Speaks and Josh Whitley.
He was a member of True Church of Jesus Christ and enjoyed singing and spending time with his family.
Mr. Whitley was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael Page; two brothers, Robert L. Speaks and Joseph Speaks; and two sisters, Mary Barnes and Rebecca Bradley.
Survivors include two sons, Willie Lee Page and Lionel Payne and wife, Gail, of Dallas; one daughter, Donna Walker; two brothers, Josh A. Whitley and wife, Betty, and Alex Speaks; two sisters, Henrietta Whitley and Clora McCelleis and husband, Rudolph, of Jackson; two grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
