FAYETTE — Funeral services for John William “Johnny” Case, 61, of Fayette, who died Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Community United Methodist Church in Fayette, with the Rev. Lonnie Case and Aaron Lamb officiating.

Burial will follow at Concord Baptist Church in McCall Creek, under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Spencer Funeral Home in Fayette. Visitation will continue from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at Community United Methodist Church in Fayette.

Mr. Case was born on Nov. 5, 1953, in Natchez, the son of Charles Millard and Dora Jean Smith Case.

He was a graduate of Franklin Christian Academy class of 1971, and was married to Donna Strittman Case on June 17, 1972. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church and attended Community United Methodist Church where he has faithfully played the piano for many years.

Mr. Case was employed by Illinois Central Gulf Railroad for 14 years. He was also the owner of Johnny Case Trucking. He was a kind-hearted, loving man who would do anything for his family and friends. He was a proud supporter of his children and adored his two grandchildren. He was also a devout follower of Christ who never wavered in his faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Joseph Kramer Fife.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Donna Strittman Case; two sons, John Christopher “Chris” Case of Foules and Dustin Charles Case and fiancé, Kristy Nicole Britt, of Madison; one daughter, Brandi Nicole Case Burr and husband, Philip Landon Burr, of Madison; two grandchildren, Philip Collin Burr and Adliza Kate Burr; three brothers, Charles Ronnie Case and wife, Cheryl, from McCall Creek, Thomas Earl Case and wife, Phyllis, from Bude and James Ralph Case of McCall Creek.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Mississippi Blood Services or the Kramer Fife Scholarship Fund.
