State organization honors Natchez transit employees

OXFORD — The Mississippi Public Transit Association recently honored five Natchez Transit Authority employees at its annual conference in November.
NTA Executive Director Sabrena Bartley was recognized with the NPTA Distinguished Recipients Award for 2014 for her commitment to economic development, support for rural transportation systems and statewide leadership to MPTA for developing programmic activities that ensure community providers in the state are updated on new and emerging trends in the delivery of coordinated rural community transportation services.
NTA Regional Operations Manager Lovie Martin was given the presidential citation award for her commitment, dedication and support of efforts to identify and address barriers to the regional coordinated transportation efforts to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Accessible Transportation service.
NTA Fiscal Officer Treneka Robinson, Administrative Assistant Candace Washignton-Fields and Maintenance Assistant Jaccari Washington were all give then outstanding staffmember award for their commitment and dedicated service in the area of community transportation and for support of the MPTA’s efforts in the state.
