Adams County Circuit Court Cases

Thursday, Nov. 20

Jerami W. Williams was found guilty by a jury of burglary of a dwelling (habitual offender) in Judge Johnson’s court. Sentenced to 25 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Said sentence shall not be reduced or suspended nor shall such person be eligible for parole or probation. Must may all court costs and fees to include a $200 prosecution fee.

Natchez Municipal Court Cases

Carl A. Lewis, 30, pleaded guilty to violating the city’s noise ordinance. Sentenced to three days suspended. Fine set at $276.

Desiree Harris, 37, charged with failure to maintain insurance proof in vehicle. Case dismissed. Harris was also charged with DUI first offense test refusal. Case dismissed.

Courtney Owens, 18, charged with disturbing the peace. Case dismissed. Owens also pleaded guilty to simple assault. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $523.

David Prater, 19, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $398.

Derrick Montrell Ware, 28, found not guilty of possession of a controlled substance with intent. Ware was also found guilty of misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $568.

Chassidy L. Thomas, 26, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false pretense. Fine set at $451.02. Thomas also pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor false pretense. Total fine set at $792.92

Monday, Nov. 24

Natalee Nicole Keating, 32, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $573.

Adrian K. Nevels, 19, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Case dismissed subject to plea on other charge. Nevels also pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana while operating a motor vehicle. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $493.

Cade Cloy pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for one day served. Fine set at $473.
