John and Linda Sylvester announce the engagement of their daughter, Chrystal D. Sylvester to Burl “Buck” Burns Jr., son of Joyce and Burl Burns Sr.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and a graduate of Alcorn State University.

She is employed by Adams County Correctional Center in Natchez.

She is the granddaughter of Luther and Della Thomas, Levester and Beverly Gaylor and the late Isiah and Mary Sylvester.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Vidalia High School and attended Tulane University.

He is employed by Mississippi Auto Direct in Natchez.

He is the grandson of Earnestine Harris and the late Edward “Doc” Harris and Clara Burns and the late Don Burns Sr.

The wedding will be Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014.
