WISNER, La. — Graveside services for Shirley Jean Kimball, 80, a homemaker from Wisner, La., who died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her loving family, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Central Cemetery in Wisner with the Rev. Bo Swilley officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
Ms. Kimball was born June 23, 1934, the daughter of Ben and Cora Calhoun Huber.
Shirley loved flowers and sewing in her spare time. But, her greatest love was for her grandchildren. They were her heart. She will surely be missed by all that knew her.
Ms. Kimball was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Richard Kimball; and two brothers, Edward Winn and Junior Winn.
Survivors include one son, Billy Kimball and wife, Shelbi, of Natchez; nine grandchildren, Kasey Cambell, Aly Rabb, Alli Maier, Paige Douglas, Christopher Douglas, Luke Douglas, Colby Kimball, Hannah Kimball and Ashley Gaul; two great-grandchildren, Kinley Campbell and Jaxon Rabb; three sisters, Gladys Smith of Ferriday, Audrey Stutts and husband, L.W., of Wisner, Betty Jo Krouse and husband, Jerold, of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Douglas, Luke Douglas, Colby Kimball, Jody Rabb, Chad Campbell and Brandon Mullins.
Honorary pallbearers will be George Banderia and Jerod Krouse.
