Adams County Justice Court Cases Week of Oct. 31-Nov. 6
Nicholas Felter pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
Steven Davis charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Jerry Hayles pleaded guilty to disturbance of a family.
William West pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
Joseph Jackson pleaded guilty to simple assault.
Clarence Jones pleaded guilty to petit larceny.

Monday, Nov. 3
Jessie Avon Davis pleaded guilty to burglary of a storehouse in Judge Forrest “Al” Johnson’s court. Sentenced to three years and six months in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Full credit received for six months already served. Must pay all court costs and fees as well as a $200 prosecution fee.
Danny Ray Burks pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in Judge Johnson’s court. Sentenced to two years in MDOC. Full credit received for time served as allowed by law. Must pay restitution in the amount of $3,000 and all court costs and fees, to include a $200 prosecution fee.

Lameitris Brown, 27, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.
India Dobbins, 29, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $673.
Trollas Gooden, 46, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.
Andra Lucas, 31, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473.
Cardreeka Mason, 20, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.
Taszerrie Mason, 21, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.
Helen D. Williams, 46, pleaded guilt to amended charge of disturbing the peace of a business. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $523.

Monday, Nov. 3
James Anderson, 23, found not guilty of misdemeanor receiving stolen property.
Petrina Mason Cooks, 37, found guilty of disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $498 minus $250 suspended. Must pay a fine of $248.
Alan P. Brown, 38, pleaded guilty to failure to maintain insurance proof in vehicle. Fine set at $586.
Alan Patrick Brown, 38, pleaded guilty to DUI — first offense test results. Sentenced to 48 hours suspended. Total fine set at $800.
James H. Anderson Jr., 23, charged with retaliation against a public servant or witness. Case dismissed without prejudice based on mutual no contact order at request of victims.
Cedric Knight, 25, pleaded guilty to public drunkenness. Credit given for time served in jail. No fine assessed.

Cavinesha Bowman, 21, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false pretense. Fine set at $450.
Dietra C. Malone, 24, charged with uttering a forgery. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Out on $7,500 bond.
Cedric Maurice Tenner Jr., 21, charged with uttering a forgery. Upon further investigation and motion of prosecutor (wrongful identification of defendant), this case is dismissed without prejudice. Out on $10,000 bond.
George Edward Byrd, 25, charged with attempted armed robbery. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond reduced to $22,500.
George Edward Byrd, 25, charged with aggravated assault other means — deadly weapon. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond reduced to $22,500. Byrd also charged with attempted, enhanced armed robbery and with aggravated assault other means, deadly weapon, enhanced.
Tiera Turner, 20, charged with uttering a forgery. Upon further investigation and on motion of prosecution (wrongful identification of defendant), this case is dismissed without prejudice.
Thomas W. Thompson Jr. charged with robbery. This case is dismissed with prejudice upon further investigation and motion of the prosecution and consent of the court (unable to prove guilt by this defendant) and failure of the victim to cooperate. Release the defendant ASAP and return all personal property to the defendant.
Wednesday, Nov. 5
Keilah Richardson, 22, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573. Richardson also charged with carrying a concealed weapon. Case dismissed; weapon ordered return.
Preston S. Carr, 25, charged with shoplifting — first offense. Case dismissed — co-defendant took responsibility.
Antonio Rodriguez Arbuthnot, 30, pleaded guilty to simple assault — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for three days served. Fine set at $623.
