NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Ronald Glenn “Ronnie” Collier, 66, of Natchez, who died Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Vann Wynn officiating.
Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Collier was the son of Perry and Pauline Rowland. He attended South Natchez High School and was employed by the Natchez Steam Laundry.
Mr. Collier was retired.
He attended First Baptist Church in Natchez and was a member of the Moose Lodge.
He enjoyed playing yatzee, dominoes, cards, fishing, playing music and always betting on the New Orleans Saints.
She was preceded in death by his parents, S.P. and Pauline Rowland; his wife, Joy Williams Collier; one son, Jimmy Williams Sr.; and one grandson, Jimmy Ray Williams Jr.
Survivors include one brother, Perry Lee Rowland and wife, Christine, of Memphis, Tenn.; two sons, Wesley Prudhomme of Carthage, Texas, and Ronnie Collier and wife, Cindy, of Ferriday; four daughters, Stephanie Morgan and husband, Tony, of Hartsville, Tenn., Amanda Wheeler and husband, Freddie, of Alexandria, La., Samantha Osmer and husband, John, of Lafayette, La., and Loni Collier and husband, Mark Cummings, of Jonesville; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a special friend, Angela Britt Southern; and one daughter-in-law, J.J. Williams.
