LIBERTY — Services for Roosevelt “RoRo” Taplin Sr., 77, of Liberty, who died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at Courtyard Rehab Healthcare in McComb, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Liberty with the Rev. George Coney officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Taplin was born Nov. 5, 1936, in Amite County, the son of Lee and Etta Taplin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Marggrie; seven daughters, Patricia Jones and husband, Markell, Valarie Clayton and husband, Ed, Qunaha Stevenson and husband, Sidney, Debra Taplin, Teryl Taplin, Sonja Taplin Allen and LaToyal Taplin Smith; one daughter-in-law, Anita Taplin; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
