NATCHEZ — Services for Dosia “ Bud” Johnson Jr., 84, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at River Region Hospital in Vicksburg, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Murray Temple Church of God in Christ with the Rev. Randy Jackson Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Johnson was born June 25, 1930, in Edger Mount, the son of Dorsey Johnson and Louvinia Gaines.
He was a member of American Federal Union and formerly a member of Portal Chapel Church of Vicksburg.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Rene Bell Johnson; first wife, Elnora Rouster Johnson; one brother, Eddie Miller; one sister, Mary Hodges; and one grandson, Herman Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Bell Johnson; five daughters, Delories Johnson of Jackson, Patricia Ann Johnson, Samantha Anderson and husband, Danny, all of Vicksburg, Bobbie Jean Reynolds and husband, Johnny, of Natchez and Rochelle Johnson of Seattle; five sons, Charles Johnson and wife, Lena, of Horn Lake, Ervin Johnson of Port Gibson, Louvin Johnson and wife, Anita, Willie Johnson and Cleyon Johnson, all of Vicksburg; five sisters; five brothers; one special cousin, Christine Minder; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
