DOLOROSO — Services for Elvin L. Barnes, 63, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, in Augusta, Ga., will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Free Springs Baptist Church in Doloroso with the Rev. Maurice Irving officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time, also Saturday, at the church.

Mr. Barnes was born in Natchez, the son of Aaron Barnes and Ruth D. Barnes.

He earned an associate degree and furthered his studies in computer programming.

He was retired from information technology.

Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include one son, Marvin Martin and wife, Victoria; three grandchildren, Marvin Martin Jr., Justin Martin and Jadon Martin; his mother; two sisters, Bobbie Cain and Patricia Harris; one niece, Patrice Harris; one nephew, Derex Cain; one great-nephew, Tylan Murray; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
