LAKE CHARLES, La. — Services for Patricia Ann “Pat” Aguillard, 72, of Lake Charles, La., who died Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, in a local care facility, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Charles with the Rev. Steve Shirley officiating.101114PatAguillard obitpic

Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until service time, both at the funeral home.

Ms. Aguillard was born Sept. 17, 1942, in Corsicana, Texas. She was raised in Baytown, Texas, and lived in Lake Charles for the past 50 years.

She was always very active in her children’s lives; serving on the PTA, den mother for the Boy Scouts, coached football and began the cheerleading programs at Kaufman Elementary. She always put her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren first.

Ms. Aguillard will always be remembered as a spiritual and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

Survivors include four children, Cynthia Smith, Kathy Adrian, Patrick Aguillard, all of Lake Charles, and Melinda Ballard and husband, John, of Natchez; one brother, Reggy Saxon and wife, Cindy, of Moss Bluff, La.; one sister, Janell Howard and husband, Danny, of Dallas; seven grandchildren, Erin Smith and wife, Amy, Ana Marie Smith and fiancé, Dana Barr, Katelynn Adrian, Jeremy Sanders, Matthew Sanders, Phillip Ballard and Saxon Ballard; six great-grandchildren, Draven, Damon, Aidan, Andrew, Seth and Remie; father of her children, Rayford Aguillard and his wife, Susie; and a number of others that she called her own.

The family expresses a special word of thanks to Heart of Hospice, Landmark of Lake Charles and Synergy Home Health.
