NATCHEZ —Devonte Demby has joined The Natchez Democrat as a reporter.

A Concordia Parish native, Demby graduated from Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez in 2013 with an associate of art degree with a focus in journalism and film.

Demby previously worked for First Natchez Radio Group, and as a board operator for KFNV Radio in Ferriday.

While attending Co-Lin, Demby received a first place award from the Mississippi Press Association for best feature story amoung community colleges during its annual awards program.

Demby attends Bethel Church and is a member of the Adams County Substance Free Coalition. He has interests in film and journalism.
