NATCHEZ — Services for Dorothy Mae Johnson McGuire, 81, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. J.L. Hammitte officiating.
Burial will follow at the Skinner Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Natchez and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. McGuire was born April 26, 1933, in Natchez, the daughter of Simon and Clemie Boyd Johnson.
She served on the mother board at Antioch Baptist Church.
Mrs. McGuire was preceded in death by her parents; one son; one daughter; four brothers; one sister; three grandsons; one brother-in-law; and one son-in-law.
Survivors include four loving and devoted daughters, Linda McGuire, Betty McGuire, Diane Young and husband, Zach, and Sue McGuire, all of Natchez; two brothers, Mose Johnson and wife, Eddie Mae, and Lewis Johnson and wife, Ann, all of Dallas; three sisters, Camille Green, Eloise Boleware and husband, Stencer, and Ella Walker and husband, Larry, all of Dallas; one sister-in-law, Estelle Johnson of Natchez; one brother-in-law, Morris Williams of Inglewood, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
