NATCHEZ — A local organization is asking Miss-Lou residents to clean out their freezers before the upcoming hunting season to help feed the hungry.

Hunters for the Hungry is hosting a “clean out your freezer day” from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Natchez Sports Center, located at 305 Seargent S. Prentiss Drive.

The group will accept any frozen game, fish or other meat from the freezer for the Hunters for the Hungry food drive. The donations will be distributed to needy residents throughout the community at various organizations, such as the Stewpot.
