Come to benefit for William Campbell

William Campbell, affectionately known as “Heavy,” is one who serves faithfully on his duty post as “church usher.”
He takes the role seriously.
Not only is he an active usher at his home church, but he so willingly and proudly serves in that same capacity at many area churches.
No matter what the occasion, if there were a need for ushers, William answered the call.
If William had made previous plans and a need for his service arose, he rescheduled those plans. He would rather be a doorkeeper in the “House of the Lord.”
William served until becoming ill.
William always had a laugh, a smile or a joke for you.
What William doesn’t process is fortune and fame, but he has a heart of gold, always willing to lend a helping hand.
He never said “no,” even on the day before his illness, not appearing well, but not complaining, continued to go on.
William is in critical condition at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson.
He is on life support and not taking any breaths on his own. He has been infected with the most severe case of West Nile Virus.
William is not financially able to defray any of the expenses that will occur as a result of his illness.
Louise Dennis, with support of Pastor J. W. Pickett and The Union Baptist Church Family, will host a benefit program.
The program is planned for at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4.
All proceeds will go toward any expenses incurred as a result of his illness.
All area ushers are asked to attend, dressed in usher attire.
A showing of love, with your attendance, participation, and financial contribution is greatly appreciated by the family.
Donations can be mailed to: Union Baptist Church/Benefit Fund to the attention of Louise F. Dennis at 611 Canal St., Natchez, MS 39120.
May God bless you.
Ella Knight is a relative of William M. Campbell.
