Stephanie Jo Wilson and Ross Rivers Poland were married Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at 6 p.m., at Stanton Hall in Natchez, with Brian Eoff and Rondrell Moore officiating.

Parents of the bride are Rick and Mary Jo Wilson of Terre Haute, Ind. Grandparents were the late Leona and Charlie Chinn of Indiana and the late Fred and Edna Wilson of Long Island, N.Y.

Parents of the groom are Shep and Mary Poland of Wharton, Texas. Grandparents were the late Shep and Ruby Mae Poland of Jena, La., and the late Jewel and Alice King of Jonesville.

Stephanie received a bachelor of science from Southern Indiana University and a doctoral degree in chemistry from Texas A&M University. She is employed as a college professor.

Ross received a bachelor of science from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a doctoral degree in chemistry from Texas A&M University. He is employed as a research chemist.

Music was provided by David Troutman, violinist and Randy Weber of Memphis, Tenn., vocalist.

Jill Sheirer of Newburgh, Ind., and Molly Steftenagel of Ferdinand, Ind., both college roommates, attended the bride as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Danielle Crouthers of College Station, Texas, Jessica Wilson, sister of the bride of Henderson, Nev., Liesl Goecker of Terre Haute, Katie Weyer of Tell City, Ind., and Kathy Held of Bagersville, Ind.

Serving as best men were Spike Miller of Brookings, S.D., and Jordan Wysong of Liberty Township, Ohio, both fraternity brothers of the groom. Groomsmen were David Aaronson of Houston, Brent Martin of Austin, Texas, Chad Schulz of Sachse, Texas, Jeremy Haefele of Ithaca, N.Y., and Michael Rasche of Asheville, N.C.

Readings were presented by Avery Dubois of Baton Rouge and Sarah Chinn of Tell City, Ind.

Flower girls were Elizabeth Wilson of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Sela King of Natchez. Michelle Wilson, of Elizabethtown, carried a flag announcing the entrance of the bride.

Jacob Wilson of Elizabethtown and Davin King of Natchez served as ring bearers.

Ushers were Anthony Sloan of Indianapolis, Ind., Steven Jugle of Dallas, Todd Janik of Wharton and Michael Spear of Mainesville, Ohio.

Members of the house party included Noel Lee of Pineville, La., Morgan King, Lauren King, Jewel King and Karly King, all of Natchez, Abby Held and Lindsey Held of Bargersville, Ind., and Maggie Southwood of Rockport, Ind.

Following the ceremony, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were served in Stanton Hall. A reception followed at the Carriage House with a dinner buffet and dancing. Music was provided by River City DeeJays.

The evening before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Rolling River Bistro in Natchez. Sunday morning following the wedding, a brunch honoring the couple was held at the home of Leigh and Bridget King of Natchez.

The couple honeymooned at Riviera Maya, Mexico.
