NATCHEZ — Nearly 4,000 Cable ONE customers lost Internet and other services when one of its fiber optic cables was cut Thursday morning.

According to Cable ONE public relations director Trish Niemann, another company cut the fiber optic cable at 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

The outage impacted customers in Yazoo City and Natchez, Niemann said.

“We were able to reroute traffic, so we could restore service to most of our customers,” Niemann said. “The service was up around 10 a.m.”

Niemann said any customers who were affected should call 1-877-692-2253 to receive credit on their account for the time their service was out.
