NATCHEZ — Services for Johnny Earl “Weedie Mire” “Choir Boy” Harris, 37, of Natchez, who died Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Daughters of Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanford Cruel officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Harris was born Aug. 14, 1977, in Natchez, the son of Gertrude Harris and David Earl Payne.
He gave his life to Christ March 4, 1988, as a stewart of Daughter of Zion, under the leadership of the Rev. D.W. Howard.
He was a 1996 graduate of Natchez High School.
Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie and Rosie Harris.
Survivors include a loving mother and father; three brothers, Dave Ware, Kendrick Ware and Johntred Ware, all of Natchez; one sister; five aunts; nine uncles; and a number of other relatives and friends.
