Trinity softball falls, 8-5

BAKER, La. — Trinity Episcopal got two hits each from Kayla Gilmore, Michaela Hutchins, Kyler Parks and Sloane Young, but it still wasn’t enough as the Lady Saints lost to the Central Private School Lady Rebels 8-5 Thursday afternoon.
Central Private used a four-run rally in the bottom of the second inning to take the lead for good at 5-2 and added three more runs in the bottom of the third. Trinity (8-9) plays again at 6:15 p.m. next Monday at Tallulah Academy.
Franklin County 5, Warren Central 4
VICKSBURG — The Franklin County Lady Bulldogs held on for a 5-4 win over the Warren Central Lady Vikings Thursday afternoon. Sally Case was the winning pitcher.
