FERRIDAY — Services for Lillian J. Jones, 83, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandra, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Justin Conner officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Jones was born May 27, 1931, in Frogmore, the daughter of James and Beatrice Kale Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Herman and Lorenza Johnson.

Survivors include two sons, Jessie and David Johnson of Ferriday; three daughters, Joyce Johnson of Ferriday, Cynthia Johnson of New Orleans and Doris Johnson of Bossier City, La.; five brothers, Charles Johnson and wife, Diane, of Ferriday, Wilbert Johnson and James Johnson, both of Houston, Eugene Johnson of Meridian and David Johnson of Las Vegas; two sisters, Lillie Mae Johnson and Susan Johnson; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins.
