NATCHEZ — Services for Thelma Lee Evans “Miss Sally” Clark, 86, of New Orleans, who died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, in New Orleans, will be at 11:30 a.m. today at West Gate Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Clark was born Jan. 17, 1928, in Natchez, the daughter of John and Fannie Evans.082914 ThelmaClark obitpic

She was educated in the Natchez public school system. While in Natchez, she was a member of Tate Magnolia Baptist Church.

Mrs. Clark was united in marriage to Joseph Clark Jr. She lived most of her life in New Orleans.

Thelma operated a number of businesses and had a passion for cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two children, Lionell Scott and Michelle Scott.

Survivors include six children, Miller Jean Moore, Lee Evans, Earl Scott and wife, Tomeka, all of Natchez, Edward Scott and wife, Veronica, of Knoxville, Tenn., Yvette Scott of Houston and Terry Ann Scott and husband, Patrick; two sisters, Dorothy Champ of Natchez and Mable Evans of Port Arthur, Texas; one brother, John Evans and wife, Cordelia, of Natchez; 27 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two godchildren; and other relatives and friends.
