NATCHEZ — Forrest Foster has officially resigned as head softball coach for Adams County Christian School.

Foster coached the Lady Rebels for the last 11 years and said his reasons for resigning were a culmination of things, but ultimately, it’s a decision he won’t regret.

“It was time,” Foster said. “The job was time consuming, and I’ll leave it at that. I’m resigning from all my duties at ACCS.”

Headmaster David King said the school would respect Foster’s decision to resign, but hopes Foster will continue to be the announcer for ACCS’ sporting events.

“Forrest is a classy guy and a friend of mine,” King said. “He was going to be the coach here as long as he wanted to. We’re still in talks with him on continuing being the voice of the Rebels.”

Athletic director Rick Fife will take over coaching duties for the Lady Rebels for the remainder of the season.

“Fife has experience coaching softball, and we have a great softball team here for him to contribute to,” King said.
