Randall and Kelly Garrett of Lexington, S.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kendall Rae Garrett to Sgt. Zachary Andrew Long, son of Fred and Laurie Long of Irmo, S.C.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Lexington High School and is a graduate of Midlands Technical College in West Columbia, S.C.

She is the granddaughter of Irvin and Linda Garrett of Natchez and Chuck Daniels and the late Helen Cross Rodriguez of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Irmo High School and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C.

He is employed by Palmetto State Armory in Columbia, S.C.

He is the grandson of Paul Moore and the late Jean Moore of Ninety Six, S.C., and the late Charles and Barbara Long of Virginia Beach, Va.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014, at River Road and Jasmine House in Columbia, S.C.
