LORMAN — Services for Dale Edward Fells, 61, of Lorman, who died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at his residence, will be at noon Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church with the Rev. Kemp Burley Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Fells was born July 23, 1953, in Natchez, the son of Wilford and Ada Chambers Fells.
He was a member of the Jefferson Hinds Hunting Club and the owner of Fell’s Trucking.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bobbie Powell Fells; and two brothers, Charles “Joe” Fells and Herman “Ned” Fells.
Survivors include six children, Chontel Davis and husband, Michael, and Luella Jones, all of Memphis, Tenn., Gailmon Fells and husband, Yasmi, of Lorman, David Powell of wife, Stephanie, of Lexington, Avante Barnes and Travis Barnes, both of Meridian; one brother, Wilford “Doll” Fells Jr. of Lorman; four sisters, Velma Chambers of Kansas City, Mo., Sadie B. Fells and Kisia Coleman and husband, John, all of Chicago and Emily Sue Robinson of Lorman; mother-in-law, Mertis B. Powell of West; four sisters-in-law, Evelyn Fells of Fayette, Helen Roberson and husband, Roger of Durant, Lillie G. Perkins and husband, Claude, of Waterloo, La., and Linda Smith and husband, Ezell, of Lexington; seven brothers-in-law, Nathaniel Powell and wife, Cynthia, Willie Powell, Norman Powell, Roy Powell and wife, Irma Jean, James Powell and wife, Lawanda, Lester Powell and wife, Marshelle, all of Lexington, and Robert Powell of Marietta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
