Thanks for making Chillin a success

On Sept. 19, the Vidalia Riverfront was Chillin! If you were not in attendance, we are so sorry that you missed this fabulous night of fun and music!
Originating from Vicksburg, in the 1970s, “The Chill” featured classic rock and roll, Motown and a variety of dance music. Due to threat of rain, the dance was moved to the convention center; however, this did not put a damper on the excitement of all who attended.
The street dance is sponsored each year by the Vidalia Women’s Club and occurs during the Jim Bowie Festival. The proceeds made at this dance will help support over 20 different charities and projects in the Miss-Lou community.
Thanks, once again, to the following sponsors who helped make this event a success: Great Mississippi River Balloon Race, City of Vidalia, Sheriff Randy Maxwell, Chuck Norris, Attorney at Law, A-1 Towing, River’s Edge Taxidermy, Concordia Bank & Trust, Delta Bank & Trust, Tensas State Bank, Vidalia Market, Miss-Lou Physical Therapy, Hammers Drive Thru, Vidalia Conference and Convention Center, and 107.1 The River.
