NATCHEZ — Services for Eula Mae Demby, 88, of Natchez, who died Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at her residence, will be at noon Saturday at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Martin Luther King Jr. Road, with the Rev. Ernest Ford Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Mark Baptist Church No. 1 Cemetery, in Kingston, under the direction Webb/Winfield Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Demby was born April 7, 1926, in Natchez, the daughter of Albert and Susie King. She was a 1945 graduate of Brumfield High School and was employed by Temple B’Nai Israel.
Mrs. Demby was retired.
She was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board and was a member of the Missionary Society.
Mrs. Demby was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Adam Demby Sr.; one son, Patrick Demby; and one brother, Forrest Edward King Sr.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan and husband, Charles, and Angela Demby Walker, all of Natchez; four sons, Michael Demby, Melvin Demby and wife, America, and Donnell Demby, all of Natchez, and Adam Demby Jr. and wife, Bridgette, of Katy, Texas; three stepchildren, Clyde Winston of Natchez and Edward and Audley Demby, both of Minneapolis, Minn.; granddaughter and caregiver, Netairre “Niecy” Demby; one sister-in-law, Janie King; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
