NATCHEZ — Natchez Police are awaiting test results to determine how to charge a Vidalia man involved in a domestic dispute that snowballed into two vehicular wrecks involving three other vehicles.

Natchez Police arrested Michael A. Jackson, 46, 859 Mooselodge Road, Vidalia, early Sunday morning after the GMC Sierra pickup he was driving hit a car on Main Street, pushing the second vehicle into a third vehicle, Natchez Police Detective Jerry Ford said.

Before striking the vehicle on Main Street, Jackson had allegedly sideswiped a different car on St. Charles Street, Ford said.

Prior to getting into the pickup truck, Jackson was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute in which he assaulted a romantic partner, Ford said.

When he was arrested, Jackson reportedly told the officer he thought he had a head injury, and the suspect was taken to Natchez Regional Medical Center.

At the hospital, blood samples were taken because officers could smell the suspected odor of alcohol on his breath, Ford said.

Jackson was arrested on a charge of simple domestic violence.

Other charges may be pending after the blood tests are completed, Ford said.

Jackson was detained without bond Sunday evening.
