NATCHEZ — Services for Kory Allen DeWitt, 25, of Natchez, who died Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, in Natchez, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill McCullin officiating.

Burial will follow in Midway Cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. DeWitt was born March 21, 1989, in Natchez, the son of John DeWitt and Shirley Valentine.

He graduated from Vidalia High School in 2007.

Mr. DeWitt was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James Lee Havard Sr. and Peggy Havard; paternal grandparents, Donald and Betty DeWitt.

Survivors include his mother; father and wife, Tamera; one grandmother, Helen Havard of Natchez; two brothers, Shawn DeWitt of Walker, and Mathew Grudzlen and wife, Heather, of Pearl City, Hawaii; 3 sisters, Kimberly Handjis and husband, Russell, of Vidalia, Sarah Mcphate and husband, J.R., of Van Buren, Ark., and Summer Valentine of Natchez; and a number of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Richard Steele, Bryan Carroll, Clay Evans, Jessie Morace, Aaron Willis and Alex Willis.
