NATCHEZ — Services for Robert Dale McKinney, 73, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Cross Point Church with the Rev. Andy Blair, the Rev. Marshall Stokes and the Rev. Del Loy officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.
Mr. McKinney was born May 28, 1941, in Hamburg, the son of James Phillip and Mary Opal Freeman McKinney.
He was resident of Vidalia and retired oil field production superintendent. He was a avid sports fan and coached baseball for a number of years.
Mr. McKinney was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Phil McKinney and Virgil Patrick McKinney.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Gail Cross McKinney; one son, Dr. Dale McKinney, MD; two daughters, Tanya Clary and husband, James, and Kimberlea McKinney; four grandchildren, Lacie Cupit and husband, David, Morgan Smith, Matthew Smith and Kyla Clary; and three great-grandchildren.
