NATCHEZ — Several containers of prescription drugs were stolen from a Natchez pharmacy Tuesday morning during an alleged burglary.
Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call of suspicious activity Tuesday at Ernst Pharmacy on Highland Boulevard in Natchez.
Deputies saw an iron gate in the alley between the two buildings was open and metal siding along the building had been pulled back, according to an ACSO press release.
Deputies cleared the building before the owner, William Ernst, arrived on scene and discovered several containers of hydrocodone, Phenergan and codeine were missing.
The owners received an email from the alarm company at approximately 4:20 a.m. stating that a camera outside the building had been tampered with.
The suspects were caught on camera wearing gloves and masks and appeared to be driving a black SUV, according to the release.
The case remains under investigation.
