SEARCY — Services for Christel E. Thomas, 87, of Pangburn, who died Saturday, July 26, 2014, in Pangburn, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel in Searcy.

Burial will follow in Henderson Cemetery under the direction of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thomas was born Dec. 10, 1926, in Germany, the daughter of Fritz and Hedwig Kaminski.

She retired from the U.S. Army.

Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Thomas; her parents; one brother, Siegfried Gruning.

Survivors include one brother, Baldur Gruning and wife, Evelin; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Young, Catherine Thomas and Charlotte Gruning; one nephew, Robert Young of Pangburn; a number of nephews and nieces, all of Germany; and cousins of California, Germany and Canada.
