GLOSTER — Services for Doris Marie Foreman, 83, of Coles, who died Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Liberty Community Living Center, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Max Foreman officiating.
Burial will follow in Roseland Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Foreman was born Aug. 23, 19330, in Amite County, the daughter of Robert VanBuren “Bob” Forman and Lettie Leona Sturdivant Forman.
She was co-owner of Foreman’s Grocery and Hardware in Coles, and was proud that she was known as a professional butcher.
She was of the Congregational Methodist Faith.
Mrs. Foreman was preceded in death by her husband, Monette “Buddy” Foreman; her parents; one son, Gary Lennox Foreman; one brother, Edward Lloyd Forman; and three sisters, Lenelle Havard, Madelle Vines and Annie Mae Murray.
Survivors include one son, the Rev. Max Foreman and wife, Kathy, of Foxworth; two daughters, Jackie Foreman of Coles, and Sheila Dunn and husband, Greg, of Ruston; two grandsons, Casey Smith and Bob Taylor; four granddaughters, Holly Smith, Brandi Jones, Sarah Taylor and Samantha Smith; six great-grandchildren, Mary Marie Smith, Megan Smith, Ashton Tassin, Lennox Taylor, Maddox Taylor and Waylon Decker; two brothers, Robert Everett Forman of Rapid City, S.D., and E.J. Forman of Natchez; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Casey Smith, Bob Taylor, Lloyd Forman, Melvin Murray, Mark Jarrell and Randy Forman.
