FERRIDAY — Services for Lizzie Mae Sikes, 64, of Ridgecrest, who died Thursday, July 17, 2014, in Ridgecrest, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Tim Vanier officiating.

Burial will follow in Heard Cemetery in Manifest under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sikes was born Feb. 14, 1950, in Somerset, Ky., the daughter of Orvil Preston Warren and Clara Carter Warren.

Mrs. Sikes was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Gerry Thomas Buckles; one niece, Margaret Bowman; and five brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Dwayne T. Sikes; two sons, Michael Buckles of Vidalia, and Gerry Dale Buckles Jr. and wife, Carmen, of Frogmore; one daughter, Chasity Jordan and husband, Johnny, of Ridgecrest; special great-great niece, Sierra Vanpelt; three step-children, Craig Sikes, Danny Sikes and wife, Jamie, and Kimberly Thiels, all of Pineville; two sisters, Dorothy Ellis and husband, Ronald, of Decatur, Ill., and Georgia Wallace of Michigan; 21 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Devin Buckles, Craig Sikes, Danny Sikes, Nick Mouille, Banks W. Vanpelt III and Edwin Ratcliff.

Honorary pallbearers will be Orlando Buckles, Brian Seals Jr., Michael Buckles Jr., Matthew Buckles, Johnny Jordan Jr., Cody Johnson and Vincent Buckles.
