TYLERTOWN — Services for Edwina Mae Thompson, 90, who died Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Walthall County General Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hartman-Hughes Capps Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in Tylertown Cemetery under the direction of Hartman-Hughes Capps Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thompson was born Sept. 19, 1923, in Walthall County, the daughter of Edwin and Rettie Mae Brumfield Davis.
She was a retired bookkeeper for the Walthall County Livestock Producer’s Sale Barn.
She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church and loved flowers and her family.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Grady Thompson; her parents; and two brothers, Frank Willis Davis and Lloyd Lynn Davis.
Survivors include one son Eddie Thompson and wife, Rose, of Natchez; one daughter, Jan Vince and husband, Kim, of Sandy Hook; two grandsons, Drew Thompson and wife, Summer, and Bo Vince; two granddaughters, Shannon Goodwin and husband, Thomas, and Kristin Singletary and husband, Chirs; seven great-grandchildren, Noah, Rose, Frannie, Owen, Collin, Averie and Stratton; two sisters-in-law, Lea Davis and Mary Davis, both of Tylertown.
